why don't you save up another $40 dollars and buy a brand new Arcade unit instead, personally i don't trust refurbished Xbox 360 specially the early models..
About taxes it all depends where you live, here in New York is 8.3% taxes ..
You don't seem to be in a budget if your deciding to buy accessories ..

If I'm you I'd stick with a Pro model is cheaper in the long run.
