Attach rate will be an indicator to publishers as to where to focus their investments. Even if CoD:WaW makes money on Wii, the point of looking at the attach rate is realizing that there is more money to be made in other genres (like fitness) on the Wii.
Thus the investments get refocused into the more profitable areas, as opposed to the marginally profitable ones. If you're a shooter fan, and you only own a Wii, this is probably bad news. If you're a fan of popular Wii genres, or a Nintendo stockholder, this is good news in the long term (weeding out the genres that don't fit the demographics).
