Um...no. It wasn't fake.

 

It is not fake, but I didn't see the entire number of disks controversy.  What I did see was issues with why iD wanted to have a game that required a harddrive.  I do believe I saw the other quote with iD complaining about the licensing agreement on the number of disks, that would force them to go to 2 disks.
