That whole thing is just freaky. That girl looked like she could be his mom. Who would go after an eight year old looking boy?
Anyway, whatever. Sure the grandparents will help raise the kid. Hopefully they'll teach him that a baby is a baby, he, or she. 'IT' is a no-no.
