I actually haven't seen it yet. But yeah I think so. I think the point of Robert Downey Jr. being a white guy playing a black guy was to be intentionally offensive.

 

EDIT: I just re-read: And I really don't know. I'm not claiming to have all the answers or to come up with some blanket statement about what is and isn't offensive/inappropriate/racist/etc.

I'm just trying to point out why some people would be offended by RE5.

 

I don't think we should just ignore those viewpoints because maybe they're valid.

I think people who are uncomfortable with RE5's imagery are justified in feeling that way.
