it the same thing that came up last time they tried to say you spend more on xbox-----sure you pay fifty a month for live but in teh end you still end up (on average) paying more for the ps3 and things liek this are just trying to mislead weaker minded consumers

 

You mean the purchase of the console?  Hmm, that's true.  But that's an eternal discussion, since Sony fans will always say "we get more for what we pay for so that doesn't count".

In essence: You pay for something that's free on computers and on the PS3.  Sony says one could spend that money better on games and home stuff.  And not like the OP says: OMFG, they wants you to buy Home stuff  OMFG.

Even if they want you to: they can't make you.  Live, on the other hand, isn't exactly a choice. 

Even if you buy everything on the list, which sony gave, you would still have the choice. 

The title and the article are totally misleading and cherrypicking.


(meso: I'll gladly have the base investment-discussion in another thread :p  Although I think the conclusion would be reached rather quickly).
