Gballzack = lame.

Anyways... Y'know how everyone says that Okami would be perfect for Wii, because of the paintbrush thing?

Zelda on Wii simply needs to reinvent the items with the Wiimote, and in turn, invent new puzzles and give the game a new feel. It could be as simple as the camera switching to above Link when he pulls out a bomb, so that you can use the pointer to precision-throw them, or drawing the path along the floor to direct a Bomb-chu through multiple switches. Or, there could be one huge item like the paintbrush which lets you interact with anything via pointer. And all the ideas about an army/party could be done via pointer... Imagine summoning some undead soldiers with different abilities, and then having to direct them through a maze, solving multi-part puzzles for Link to advance. All you would do is point at the soldier you want, and then point at where they should go or what they should interact with.

Basically, I think some of you are thinking of superficial changes which really won't make the game feel new. Did sailing make the game feel new? Did turning into a wolf make the game feel new? Neither would most of the ideas in this thread.

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.
