For those who said it: logic and assumption are not mutually exclusive. Logic merely deals with non-contradiction and consistency, not whether or not anything is actually true. If I were to say, "All objects in space are made of metal. That object is in space. Therefore, it is made of metal", that would be perfectly logical, despite the probable incorrectness of the first premise.
