FOOD said: I do agree about the Wii Fit stuff. It simply isn't enough to make you lose weight efficiently. You'd have to go at it for hours on top of hours to burn a few calories. Go out and jog or something. Other than that, what kind of pansy gets injured by a Wii? Seriously? Weak people these days. |
That's not true at all. Have you even used it?
I have, and I lost 12 pounds over the course of 8 weeks. It didn't take "hours and hours", but an hour every other day. I have freinds and family who use it regularly too, and they have lost weight, without "hours and hours" of time spent on it.
It's just an exercise supplement. Doing the Super Hula hoop alone will burn a ton of calories, FAST. Maybe you don't exercise, or watch calories, but you can burn calories without "hours and hours" of work.

But like I said, it's still not efficient enough. With the right diet and a good jog 6 days a week I could lose about 25 pounds in 8 weeks. I'd say even more, because I have done more, but that's really a minimum number I would bet.

Twenty-five pounds in eight weeks?
I'm not a doctor, but I was told by one that the safe rate at which to lose weight (in terms of cardiovascular health) was a rate of about a pound a week, taking into account daily variations in weight. Doesn't losing more than three a week seem, uh, extreme?

Eh, different trainers and doctors have different opinions on that. When I'm in a hurry to lose weight I do some "massive damage" to my fat and stay there. I was an obese kid for most of my life. I've been in shape since I turned 18. I started working out when I was 16, and in 2 months I lost a little over 30 pounds just off a basic diet and exercising. You know, what annoys me is seeing people in the condition I used to be in and hearing that they always want a short cut. "Take these pills," or "wear this thing around your stomach to train your skin to retain your fat more." It's stupid really. All humans need to do is get off their asses and run. Eat less, move more. Eat less, move more. Simple.
