Oh my god..... first you have to buy the charger...... and then the batteries.... and THEN you have to charge them? Oh woe is me :P
See, we have a digital camera and one of those small remote control helicopters (which goes through 6 AA batteries pretty quickly since it's fun to fly it) so getting rechargeable batteries was already something to look at for my family and I. They may be more expensive than regular batteries, but with the charger I have, 4 batteries are given juice in 15 minutes. Not only that, aren't the official rechargeable packs for the 360 like $25+ each? My batteries and charger cost somewhere around (or maybe a little less) the price of two rechargeable 360 packs, recharge in 15 minutes, and aren't limited to powering one type of thing.
So yes, it may be more expensive in the shortrun, but I've used the same six batteries for over a year now.
