Yes. It is.

If I had a PC, the DLC would be FREE.

That's not to say that I have a PC to play the content on right now, but yes, the content would be free.

no it isn't cause you have too invest in a more expensive pc

and the console offsets the costs by charging for the dlc

Again: a pc upgrade is not only so you can play something.  It delivers much more than just an option for gaming.  And if you upgrade sensibly, you won't have to upgrade (it's easily possible to survive quite long with a PC upgrade).  Games are already cheaper on a pc and they get the stuff for free.

In this case MS charges for the DLC (downside compared to the PC), charges for live (downside compared to the pc) and the games are more expensive (also a downside).  And if you want to keep playing it like that:  A HD tv (for the optimal experience on a 360 and PS3) easily counters your "you have to pay for an upgrade too"-argument.

I dont see the point of bringing in the HDtv, cause you can use that also for watching football in HD

If you bring in the "you have to upgrade to play a game"-argument while a PC is capable of doing much much more than merely play games and that an upgrade isn't limited to games, then I can bring in the HDtv as part of the console-package.

Take out the HDtv, then take out part of the cost of the upgrade too, since it's not game-bound, but rig-bound.

All other points still stand then.

And Domo-kun's point about the actual content still being free as opposed to charging for it, depending on the platform it's coming out for, still stands too.
