I think the Helgast where pushed into being what they are and feeling the way they do , there are no good guys in this game IMO it's just a conflict of interest between two parties. (-1 for getting philosophical on a video game lol)
I'd like to play as helgast , I think Guirella could definetley make this campaign more story intensive showing the helgasts suffering , living conditions etc.
