Regardless of whether or not you support a national system, it cannot be disputed that the American system still needs to be reformed. That leaves a few options. Either you
A. Regulate prices of drugs so people can afford them (should be done no matter what)
B. Make health care available to anyone, but do not require it for all (this would lessen the burden on taxpayers while still aiding the needy)
C. Create a national health care system.

This really should be fixed soon. For example, my neighbor in Texas needed to get a minor surgery. He is also an English citizen. It was cheaper for him to fly to England, see a doctor there, get the surgery, and fly home than to get the surgery here. And yes, he had insurance.

And as much as people rip on free health care, it's sure as hell better than none. I bet the millions of uninsured in America would be grateful for any help they could get.
