From this poll how can we come to the conclusion that devs are wrong about the Wii's userbase? What are they wrong about?

There are countless news articles about dev's saying they dont wanna develop for the wii because its a toy, its a fad and the userbase is nothing but kids... well this poll was to see how it staked up to the user base of the HD consoles combined... and since this site has (i wanna say educated about games) crowd i figgured its the perfect place :)

It does show that they are right in a way though doesn't it (obviously they aren't all that right since Nintendo is making record profits and developers are dropping like flies all over the place)? It shows that though most "hardcores" have a Wii a big chunk of them own a HD console. So why go into the expense of making and releasing a different Dead Rising 2 (for example) on Wii (different because you can't just simply port from PS360PC to Wii) when most of the Wii owners that would be interested in this game would probably pick it up on a HD system instead? Plus there is still a significant group that don't own a Wii at all.

 

 

 

More people own the wii than eather of the HD consoles... and im not talking about port... the wii has so much potential for games posibilites its mind boggaling... and yet the dev's are saying that its a gimick... Im not saying make a port im saying make an original game for god sakes!
