I'm going to go with Yojimbo as a rough estimation for final sales numbers.
Mind you, I'm finding ssj12's numbers even crazier than JohnLucas'. By his reckoning by the end of this generation the numbers of home console owners will have doubled! Despite the fact that two of the consoles (one in particular) are not exactly accessable from a financial standpoint to most of the market.
