# Noise?(I don't mind sound when using a computer, my laptop sounds like a car lol)
# Form factor, big/small make a difference?(don't care much about the size)
# Resolution/size of monitor (Determines the GPU you require)(right now my monitor's max res is like 1080 as the second number[bought it for HD gaming with my PS3] Id not be against using a better monitor if you recommend it.)
# How computer savvy you are?(i dont know much about parts, my brother would build it. he is gonna do this stuff for a living. But I am pretty good with using programs etc etc)
# Responsiveness/Boot times?(boot time? I guess that isnt an issue, what do you mean responsiveness?)
# Power efficiency?(not a huge factor, i dont pay the power bill :P and we are getting solar panels. . .)
# What games do you play? Shooter/RTS/RPG?(all of the above)
# What will you use it for?(Gaming, maybe movies and music. I will continue to use my laptop for everyday internet etc etc)

You should have a look at those, comes to 1350 pounds with 6gb ram. You can select different stuff  but thats a good start.

Almost $1700, Hmm. Can this run Crysis and the games like it at full settings? Including this awesome texture mod I have heard about?

EDIT just notcied, there wasnt a graphics card there was there? What would you recomend for that?

Check the last link, though if you want the absolute best performance I would suggest the GTX 285 as the card to get, though its 50% more expensive than the 1gb Saphire HD 4870 (Has enough ram for texture mods etc). Its good enough to run Crysis on high at your monitors resolution with some AA.

Now you,ve got options here. You can move backwards from the absolute top of the range and shed several hundred pounds in cost, I just figured that the Core I7 is a great base for any future upgrades you might do as the motherboard is forward compatible with future Intel chips since you wanted top of the range. Bah! BRB I will finish this later.
