It would be a bad idea. Making a console is freaking hard, making one succeed is crazy talk, and the market is crowded as it is with 3 console competitors. It would be like flushing money down a toilet. They'd do better to just keep publishing games and sexually abusing Sonic for mad profit to fuel development for uber awesome games like Valkyria Chronicles.
