Besides Halo the games may have been concentrated on PS2 but the Shooter and popular western genre fanbases were very much present on the XBOX, unlike the JRPG fanbase. There's a difference. If a shooter goes exclusive to the 360 then the fanbase is there to support it. But when an JRPG goes 360 exclusive it is not there to support it. Just look at the JRPG sales on the 360 for evidence of that. Edit: I have never really played the Kingdom heart series just watched my brother play a few times and it may be graphic intensive I don't know really what it's selling point is other than having the disney characters. |
Sorry to interrupt, but I completely disagree with the bolded. Main FF's (just like main DQ) sell because, and I'm sorry to say this, they're main FF's. As many people have pointed on this site, sales have little or nothing to do with quality, or graphics. They're about hype and advertisement. Dragon Quest IX won't look anywhere near as beautiful as DQVIII did and guess what? It'll sell like crazy, maybe even better than DQVIII. Square could make FFXIV Wii exclusive with a substancial graphic downgrade relative to FFXIII and guess what? People would buy it (and it would outsell the PS360 version, due to the bigger install base)
