It was in 2005 we saw the first images..... wonder how long before that the development started.

Well, it couldn't have started until 2006, because dev kits weren't even available in 2005.

Designs of characters, writing of plot and artist's drawings can be done then. They have (and I hope they have as it makes sense to) probably started their designs and all that other stuff on FFXIV and we pray FFXV.

Sadly it seems gone are the days of FFVII-XI where we had a Final Fantasy game every couple of years, if even that. I waited a long time between FFX and XII (FFXI online only was sunned by me), seems I will be waiting at least 3 years this time.
