I've read a number of threads debating control mechanisms... and I've learned a few things:
1) IR controls for FPS is not superior to dual analog; it's all just personal preference.
2) Keyboard & mouse is far superior to IR controls; it is more precise and faster.
So, it makes me wonder why, in the evolution of arcades, shooting-type games have seemingly all defaulted to making the controls more gun-like, as opposed to implementing dual analog joysticks or putting in keyboards & mice.
