Next Gears to be a prequel!

I thought ODST was a story that runs parallel to 2 and 3.

Unless you're talking about all that other Halo merchandise (books/comics etc) that details the past.

I hope this is Gears 4, because they finished up Gears 2 with alot more of a plot for 3.

Well, Halo Wars is a prequel, and it does release before ODST so maybe that's what he was talking about.

@topic: Even though MS' initial deal with Epic may have been for only two games I'd be willing to bet that MS will pay whatever it takes to keep the series that way for good.  Given the massive sales success of the IP on the 360 that might not even be that much.
