In response to the inquiries -- I will try to get some pix up soon.

I have built my collection up over years -- but with the exception of the Intellivision, which I retained from its original purchase -- the collecting started in the mid 1990s. At that time, you could go into almost any thrift store and find classic video game and computer carts for 50 cents or 75 cents.

The same thing continued as I bought/acuqired newer systems (For example, I was given my Genesis, SNES, PSX). I had to start going into game stores. But since I was buying games for systems that were out-of-date/at the end of their run ... they were cheap.

All that began to change last generation. I actually had a PS2, Xbox and GC while they were semi-current.

Then I got the Wii -- the first time in a quarter center that I bought a new console. So I have averaged getting more than one game a week since April 2007. I have bought new and used. I have bought from major chains (Gamestop, BestBuy, Target, Wal-Mart) to my local video game stores to eBay. I have watched for sales and I have paid full price. The titles run the gamut from 9 of the top 10 highest-rated games at Gamerankings (min. 20 reviews) to 3 of the bottom 10 lowest-rated games to out-and-out shovelware (some of which is fun -- some of which was drek).

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.
