Why wouldn't they? There are plenty of movies that will *never* come out on BluRay - just as movies won't arrive on HD-DVD. If I was going to buy a player, I would make sure it played both.

Within 2-3 years downloadable movies will be popular anyway - and then who knows what will happen to disc based formats.
