| bigjon said: It sounds like you are open to the idea of Diesm ("Master Clockmaker Theory") Ok, I have thought about that too, but what would be the point of creating us if he was just gonna sit back and watch, that would be worse imo, that would almost like he needed some entertainment, so he created people just to see how much trouble we get into. Like the ultimate reality show right? I think he wants to have a relationship with us, before the fall of man it seems that he had a "fairly" open relationship with mankind, we cut that line in the fall, out of love he created a way to reopen it (jesus) |
The thing is, no matter the way you want to think of it or what any books say, there's always a flaw in a "God" (who's supposed to be perfect). See, you think my idea of a God is bored and is using us as entertainment... To me, your God sounds full of vanity, greed, dictator ideals and very judgemental by refusing the doors to heaven to good people who either have another religion or don't believe in him.
There's no perfect being in any religious documents I read or in any way anyone describe it. Even I can't imagine a being that would be perfect to everyone's eyes (as my view of a God sounded nice to me but to you, he was imperfect). See the issue?
I can't really comment about the relationship thing... As I don't really understand it... I mean I know what you mean I just don't get why a God would want a relationship with a mere human. Was he lonely or something? Anyway...
I don't believe in a God though I don't totally dismiss the idea that it might exist. I am, however, positive that if it does exist, it's not like any religion describes it. And a perfect God, in my mind, wouldn't punish anyone that's been good, regardless of faith (or lack of).
Anyway, this is my final reply... I'm tired of it and it's very hard for me to put into words what I think. So, it was fun to talk about it and I'm glad it didn't end into a fight... It wasn't my goal to make anyone angry and/or offended.
