Saw it tonight. It's been out in theaters since last week, and has an 8.0 on IMDB.

I must say, I was very impressed. It's not the most logical, perfect movie, but given the sheer pace and brutality of what Liam Neeson's character does (an ex-CIA operative...A brutal James Bond if you will) makes for a great movie.

Once Maggie Graces' character is 'Taken', the movie seems to never let go of the suspense. One of the few movies that was about 80% action/thriller and very little filler.

Definate must-see for any action movie fan.

My favorite scenes:

Shootout at the semi-abandoned apartment complex (where he meets up with Kim's actual captor/ransomer) is awesome. Liam takes out 4 guys in the room, and hides under a corpse. When further baddies walk into the room, he starts dishing out the lead from an impervious position.

Torture scene ala 24 was fairly neat....He ends up killing the guy via electroshock.

The last set piece, the boat, was a brutal firefight. Especially when he hides behind the door, and pops up and does a 1-round headshot on one of the security guards.

I'd give the movie around an 8.0. Entertaining, and very enjoyable. May take my dad & brother to go see it.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
