Though Hajime no Ippo is a good anime, its a great Manga. Youll do yourself a favor by reading it first.
I second the suggestions for Berserk,FMP. And i insist on Samurai X:Trust and Betrayal which most definitely is the best anime ever made( and this is not an OMFG Best evaaaar statement, it really is a masterpiece)
