 So you'd rather we just not care? Hype is just that. Your confusing hype with bragging or something. When I hype a game, I keep up with all information that comes out on said game and share that knowledge with other people to hopefully increase sales. Isn't that good? Hype is advertising.  And I never do it in a negative manner. I love how 360 fans bitch at PS3 fans for OVER-hyping games when they are the most Over-hypers of all time when it comes to games like Halo 3. Talk about Over-hyping and often times to the point of negativity. I dare anyone get into a conversation with a halo fan and try to calmly and rationally have a conversation with them as to why you prefer another shooter. I swear it's like telling them you raped their mother. At least that has been my experiance. So, yes. Let's hype. Share the love. Hopefully get it more sales and generally love gaming.

 

No, i dont want people not to care, and im not confusing anything. What i dont want to see is this:

1,000 threads about how awesome god of war will be, and how much it will sell. How it will be better than any other game and how is gonna put sony in the #1 spot.

NO, this generation sony fans are the wants that over hype things (Liar, Heavenly S., MGS4, LBP, WKC, KZ2.....among others).

Yes show this game all the love that you want, but please... don't turn it into a LBP or KZ2....or for that matter into a Liar. God of War III deserves better than that.

That is the very definition of bragging. So saying look my games gonna sell this much it's so awesome and better then all your games isn't bragging? Since when? See, I told you that you were confused. I have no control over people bragging but by definition that is not hyping. It may be yours, but that doesn't make it so.

Also, games like MGS4, LBP and KZ2 have all met the hype. They all sell well and even more importantly have been increadibly recieved by critics. How were they over-hyped? Because you like to hold on to a few fanboy's remarks and hold them against all the rest of the playstation world? They were hyped but so were games like Gears of War 1 and 2, Too Human, Halo 3, Mass Effect etc. At least I don't see as many PS3 fans pointing fingers the other way and saying "you over-hype things but we don't". Both sides are guilty so why do we only hear 360 fans bitching. I'd rather hear you hyping your own games then bitching about ours so frequently. At least hyping is of a positive nature when not done by fanboys. All the 360 fans do is bitch which is very negative. Either way, how do two wrongs make a right?
