I love the XBox360 controller when I had my XBox360. I thought it was the best controller ever. When I first got my PS3, the SIXAXIS just felt wrong. It wasn't nearly as comfortable and the triggers and analog sticks felt very different from the XBox360's triggers/analog sticks.

However, after having used the SIXAXIS for over a year to play a wide variety of games, I have to say that I actually prefer it. It seems to have a slightly wider range of motion (probably from having a longer analog stick). And I prefer it's "loose" feel. I was actually surprised when I played GTA4 at my friends house on his XBox360 at how much I didn't like the XBox360 controller and at how stiff the analog sticks were. Same when I played Left 4 Dead recently. And the bumpers feel a little awkward to use.

The PS3 controller just seems so much better functionally. And the placement of the analog sticks don't bother me at all. I don't love the triggers, but they don't bother me too much anymore. They are just too spongy. I'd give the edge to the XBox360 controller for comfort and durability and the Dualshock for functionality (especially the terrible XBox360 d-pad). Overall I'd pick a Dualshock over the XBox360 controller.
