If you are right, I die and turn to dust.

If I am right, well, the consequences are not so good for those who are wrong.

The only thing I lose is maybe some freedoms while I live, but then again, I never feel opressed by my beliefs so really nothing.

 

I meant it would suck for you (and me) if you chose the wrong God/religion. I doubt Zeus would be very happy that you chose to believe in the Christian God instead of him.

 

I see what you are saying, that is why I believe Athiest and Theist alike rely on faith.

Also with the Zues thing, I honestly believe the ancient greeks and romans were trying to worship the same God I now do, they just did not have special revelation (the bible) as of then. They only had general revelation to draw from (creation and nature). I honestly dont know or will I ever be able to know how God deals with people that tried to worship, but did not know how. Now we have the Bible they will be held without excuse, but before the Bible? I am not sure.
