Of course they aren't using DRM. No one in their right mind is going to pay for a product that doesn't work. Not using DRM saved them a lot of money and earned extra sales from people who think it's cool to respect your customers. Considering how long they've been around and the size of their business, though, I don't think the success of one or two games has too much to do with their expansion when they've had plenty of failed ones as well.
