Controls feel even better than the beta. Either they tweaked them or I've just not used to my good controller anymore (I save it for FPS, my one Dualshock 3 out of the 3 controllers I have). The acceleration model they use is great because it's slow for slight tweaks of your aim then it speed ups as you turn.

I played Alternate 2 in the beta, but I'm not tied to that and I think I'm going to switch to Standard 1 (which just switches zoom and melee). You can't melee people as well in multiplayer if you have that on your right analog stick, and zooming isn't really necessary most of the time (especially in multiplayer). To me, melee is more important than zooming, and toggle-zoom isn't exactly hard, but to each his own. I debated that a lot in the beta. I got so annoyed with not being able to melee since you can't circle-strafe or aim well at people while you are pressing the right analog.

I do see that they mapped more zoom to the upper d-pad but I swear that was used for something in multiplayer, so I'm not sure that solves the problem of the multiple levels of zoom.

I must say that I like the cover system. I haven't liked them in other games like Gears where you have to press A and it gets you stuck at times. This cover seems to work automatically if you crouch and it lets you get out of it easily. It also saves the spot you were aiming at when you duck back down and then pop back up to keep shooting.

Anyway, back to playing some more because I never got to use a knife and I need to try meleeing more...
