I don't know if anyone else noticed but on the main menu it says: "2008 Sony Computer Entertainment" at the bottom. Here's a comparison of the Dec 2008 and Jan 2009 builds-

^So it looks like the demo is from the Dec 2008 build, meaning the full game will look even better!
