SONY NEVER promised in-game Toy Story graphics on the PS2. Microsoft did with the original Xbox and didn't suceed. People need to stop believing this urban legend. And Toy Story graphics on the PS3? I've read numerous articles of news outlets hyping the PS2 when first announced. It was their conclusion that the PS2 was capable of Toy Story graphics, NOT SONY. According to the tech demo back in the day, I can see where they are coming from. But when it comes to the reality of game development, factors such as AI, lighting, texture, and draw distance effected the polygon count of each individual game. I've seen so much unreasonable SONY hate stemmed from this urban legend as a foundation. If those who believed it would just look back and reassess themselves...

But the 2 teraflop figure is still fresh in peoples minds. So they have fresh hate sauce to spread on their sandwiches.

So? I don't see where the issue is by looking at 1st and 2nd party efforts. But still, no excuse for hate. All console makers have had a negative tint to their PR's, but I still respect them all as console makers and the consoles they make. If the hate you are referring to is so justified, those should not discriminate and give up console gaming all together. No excuses.
