There's no way KZ2 will have close to 1.1 million sales in the first week, or more specifically in one region. These are probably the amount of copies retailers have bought.

well arent you a troll.
There is always a possibly that a PS3 game let alone a gmae like Killzone 2 to have a 1.1 million first week. There is still a few more weeks left and mattering customer demand these numbers will increase. As they increase the possibility that 1m in a region increases.

Are you kidding me? bbsin is by no means a troll, and I completely agree with his statement.

the 1.1 million is strictly europe if interrupted correctly. so even if it was only 1.1 million copies retailers bought, thats still setting up for a massive first week in EU (400k++) which makes it plausible that 1 million + can be broken on the first week. plausible...yes, will it happen...we will see, do i think it will...no but pretty close.

It isn't just for Europe. He was talking about the ps3 and Sony in general for the entire article except for one line.
Just look at this line:
"the forecast was 10m at the beginning of the year and it's still 10m."
That's concerning the ps3's yearly sales on a global scale.

taken from the link,
"And there are some encouraging signs for SCEE, which Reeves understandably wants to focus on. While PSP and PS2 software sales have fallen (by 15% and 51% respectively), PS3 games sales are up 53% and there's a healthy 1.1m pre-order book for Killzone 2, the first of a new batch of IPs that Sony will be counting on."
he states the SCEE, is this just because killzone 2 is made under them or is the 1.1m EU pre-orders? thats what got me
