So, I was on my way to school today when this lady pulls out of an intersection (not yeilding at the stop sign) and bashes the back end of my car. My car does a complete 180, goes into the ditch, and slides back a few yards.

The lady got the ticket for not yielding, and her insurance will cover the cost of the repairs on my car (her car just had a few scratches). Unfortunately, the thing is just totaled. The back end is completely bashed in, the frame has been twisted, the front was torn up by the weeds and undergrowth in the ditch, the passenger side door won't open, the dashboard has fallen apart, and the rear view mirror isn't connected to the car anymore. Even before the accident, the thing was a POS, it made lots of weird noises, some of the windows wouldn't work, and it was always having engine problems.

I'm out of a car now; so much for the Crown Victoria being a tough car (though maybe the fact that it's a '96 model and both my sisters drove it has something to do with it). My parents are looking for a new one, but I dunno if we can afford one right now.

In case any of you are wondering, I'm doing pretty well, I just got a swollen lip from the air bags (one of the few things that worked on that car), some of my fingers have been torn up a bit, and I'm sore as hell with a headache to top it off. It could have been a lot worse though, if I had a smaller car, it probably would have flipped over.

Also, some background info about the area and conditions; it was about 8:40 in the morning (late start in school today), the sky was clear, and I was headed west down a dirt road in my neighborhood going about 30 mph. My car is kinda dirty, so it can be hard to see, but she should have seen me coming.

So, yeah. Just felt like sharing how my day started with you guys ^_^
