One of the aspects that has to vastly improve in games is AA. Hopefully next gen brings anti-aliasing issues at a minimum as some games this gen actually looked far worse than they could've had it not been an issue. *sigh*...the future, I believe the truly mind-blowing games have yet to truly come out, not even KZ2 is as mind-blowing as what is truly going to make us say: HOLY S%&T!!!!!!!!!! And physics + animation MUST improve heavily, this is what made Uncharted such a work of art! |
I agree, AA is something that has dissapointedd me. Some of the games from this generation looks great but still have too many jaggies. Before trying to duplicat physics 100% accurately, perhaps one should get rid of jaggies in games. I do't recall real life having too many of those! However, fear not, Microsoft has taken care of that with DirectX 10.1. All DirectX 10.1 and future versions of DirectX require a mandatory minumum of at last 4X MSAA.
