| CGI-Quality said: @ Sardauk What so people should be down because of "no co-op" and such? lol...Despite it's lack of co-op, the game manages to STILL excite lots of people. I'd say that's a TRIPLE victory: for Sony, Guerrilla Games AND Playstation fans! Now again, why is this a bad thing? I think some people complaining of people overhyping their games are just looking for something to complain about. If it bothers YOU so much, then why bother entering the thread? How many times must we go through this? |
No, no don't get me wrong, their is no sarcasm in my post.
I said it will be a commercial success of course. My point is that the hype has been very high (possible the biggest hype for the last year and so), especially for the graphical side.
But so far I haven't read a lot about how cool some gaming elements are in it, some coop, some multiplayers, some achievements... only visuals.
And to get back to my post, to me, a successful sales is at 50% generated by gaming content... not graphical hype and the marketing campaign associated to it.
GOW 2 generated massive sales, same thing for HALO3, but I don't remember the same hype phenomena for the graphics.
IMO, It was more balanced between the blockbuster effect and the gaming content.
What do you think ? When I read your answer, it is a bit a "it is like that !"
Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.
