Mass Effect 2 announced for 'multiple platforms'

During the company's Q3 2009 Earnings Conference Call, Electronic Arts Chief Executive John Riccitiello revealed that the company will be releasing BioWare's Mass Effect 2 as a multiplatform title in the company's Q4 2009, which translates to our calendar in early 2010.

Since the first game was powered by Unreal Engine 3, we assume the sequel will also make use of Epic Games' technology. That means that going multiplatform shouldn't be a big deal as the UE3 is already used to make PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 games. "
