| Soriku said: 480p waning in '09. 2012 HD = mainstream or about to and officially MS by 2013 where the Wii 2'll be released w/ the PS4/Xbox 720. @Hus Uh...no. Currently 25% of the peoole in the US have HDTVs, 50% know it has HD, 50% don't. Meaning 20,800,000 out of...uh...let's say around the US' 520 mil people. 10,400,000 don't know it has HD. Every year there is a 7% increase in HDTV purchases in the US. Let's say 51%+ of the people in the US (around 260,000,000+ people) have HDTVs, and let's call that 'mainstream.' By '07's end 32% of the US people will have HDTVs. For 51% it will take...3 years for it to be 'mainstream' meaning end of 2010 ('10) and in 2011 ('11). By that time the new consoles will soon be done and the 49% will continue to buy Wiis and whatever. By 2012-13 HD will be more mainstream. %s might be lower though considering a lot more people move to the US. |
Sure they dont know. Like in my house if they called my mom and asked is my TV HD she sure as hell would not know, but i would. I doubt people that ignorant or just dense that they buy a something for a grand and they dont know WTF it does ? its really hard to buy a hd tv with out the sales guy giving you the hd ohh so blehh blehh ales pitch.
As much as you all want to avoid hd you cant, its coming fast. I dont know any self respecting sports fan that does not watch their mlb/nfl nhl whatever games in Hd.
