I don't blame the blu-ray for technical reasons alone but mainly because of costs. Although the loading times are already a burden of their own, its' the bottleneck that really worries me. Getting the Cell to exhibit some power despite the GPU takes a lot of programming hence a lot of money. Had Sony planed a DVD based console they could have added a much needed better GPU, period.
