I don't Sony has any choice but to pay Konami and SE to keep MGS and FF and both developers know it. They'll probably string Sony along until they buckle and help offset dev costs or reduce licensing fees. Either way, it will just add to the debt Sony is piling up for the PS3 but it will help the console's longevity immensely so in the end, I think it's worth it for Sony to pay up. Because if they don't, you know that MS is willing to pay the entire porting development cost for either of those games, which would royally screw Sony in the US and parts of Europe. |
