Hype is alright, but some people come off sounding downright mentally retarded when they talk about upcoming games. When it sounds like you would hang yourself if a game isn't the second coming or you honestly get angry about people slagging said , you need to get out more.
On top of that, people get tired of seeing thread after thread on the same game, especially if there is already an "Official thread" going on. It gets bothersome. I don't want to talk about 1 certain game all the time and when I do, I will do so in the official thread.
Other than that, hype is good when it is deserved.
