1: Its made by ensemble, it wont be crap.
2: Plenty of bad mario games have been made and that hasn't diminished its popularity.
3: Look at sonic even though its a shadow of its former self it still sells millions.
If halo wars sucks and thats one mighty if, it wont negatively effect the series as halo is still primarily an FPS thats hugely popular. In order for the Halo franchise to be ruined a main series halo would have to be rubbish and with Bungie at the helm I very much doubt that will ever happen.
