Have to remember Sony just like Sega and Nintendo before them were a company getting exclusive games. Nintendo did it in a very aggressive way. Sony bought a lot of exclusives and swayed many devs simply by having the most consoles in the wild. Right now the 360 is the leading hd console, it has over 8m more consoles out there then the PS3. That is a lot of extra $$$. Software wise the 360 is killing the PS3 in ratios so it makes more sense to market something towards the format that will sell more games. This is nothing new and has gone on for a long long time. People think that it must be because MS or whoever have opened the cheque book and a lot of the times that is right. But a lot of the time it is also wrong. It is like a star football player deciding which club to move to, will he move to the club at the top of the league or a club at the bottom of the league? That is the reality of it. Developers will go where the money is and right now there is more chance to make money from consoles like 360 simply due to its software sale rate which is something like 8 or 9.
None of the companies care about fanboys they care about $$$. Now more then ever.
Plus we all know MS and Capcom are like best friends now so it makes no surprises to me. Especially as MS tried/trying to buy them.
