The 1994 world cup in USA was just as good or as bad as most of the other ones I´ve followed on TV since 1978. So why not, there´s a big chance USA get 2018 or 2022, but ONLY if Canada is not really interested. I´m sure: If Canada want to be host in either 2018 or 2022, it will get one of them. The remaining tournament will then either go to Russia or a big Asian country.
But Qatar? No way. Blatter and his Fifa executives are greedy idiots, but unlike Ecclestone they still take their sport somewhat serious and they don´t want to destroy their biggest events.
Two European co-hosts? No, we won´t see this for the world cup, this model is established/makes more sense for the EURO.
Of course the English football fans will always step in and say “just give it to England”, but that´s obvious, as this is the only country where they´d have a small chance to win the title.
