Plus, everyone knows that Mario only invites kickass and relevant characters to his games, thus Sonic is kickass and relevant........NOT a has-been!

Sonic wasn't actually there to compete. He wasn't invited and it takes on a Tom & Jerry aspect to where the cat (mario) is trying to get rid of the rat (pik.....er...sonic).

But Jerry always wins. Tom is left with his head in a hole, or his toe in a trap. And how can you not love Jerry? Jerry is so cool............like Sonic!

Does tihs mean Mario is Tom? I guess it does suit mario...or who would actually be tom?

 

That's a good question. I suppose Mario could be Tom, trying to finally get rid of Jerry (Sonic) forever, but he just can't do it.......or Sonic could be Tom, continuously attempting to catch Mario's quality (Jerry), but sadly falling short each time (at least lately....*sigh*).

I think it depends on your interpertation of the situation. I personally vouch for number 2.
