Quiet Xbox 360 without HDMI?

I just learned that I have the Hitachi LG drive. I admit that it's pretty noisy when I first put the disk in, but by the time the game starts, it's pretty quiet. Does anyone know which version is more likely to get red-ringed? .......Do I really want to know? :{
