The clothes, you'll have to wait. They release new clothes off and on.
To make the disc not load when you put the disc in
My Xbox > System Settings > Console Settings > Auto Start > Disable
To change how the Xbox boots up (Disc, Dashboard, Media Center)
My Xbox > System Settings > Console Settings > Startup
As for things to do with your 360. I recommend Netflix and linking your PC to your 360. Allow Media Player to share your media files with your 360 so you can view pictures, watch videos, listen to music off of your PC.
