How sony can sell more ps3s?

The $500 model doesn't look like it's doing too well so it should be discontinued. Ebgames.com doesn't even have it yet they have the old ps3 models. That speaks volumes!

So your idea boils down to adding PS2 BC to the $500 model, is that what you mean?

It doesn't seem like a bad idea, but I don't know how much it costs Sony. I guess it comes at a significant cost otherwise they wouldn't have removed BC in the first place.

 

Something like that. Some people have bought used 60gbs for over $600. Sony needs to kill of that atrocious market.  BC removal happened shortly after sony's regime change i.e from Kutaragi to Kaz, I don't think Kaz understands what BC has done for the ps brand and I'm pretty sure it couldn't cost over $100 to add the emotion engine to a ps3 or even software emulation.
