AC was a pretty crappy game, but you can't seriously think that it wasn't, in many ways, groundbreaking.
Altair can interact with anything. Absolutely anything that looks remotely climbable, and it all animates beautifully without any awkward transitions. I can't imagine them pulling it off on Wii hardware.
